The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I actually got a box with two totes but my favorite is the one in Reef which I have been carrying daily since it came in. The leather is very good quality and has just the right amount of structure for me. The other bag was brown but as it did not have a zipper I have it with a leather shop getting a button installed. The extras are also fun and of great quality. I get compliments all the time. I would definitely recommend a mystery box if you like surprises!
I purchased the medium mystery tote. I received a dark turquoise tote. It is the perfect size, not to big, not to small.
I also received a leather bound journal in purple. (Purple is my favorite color)
Received a yellow small purse, good for evening. I love the color, I have many outfits that match it.
I also received a small leather holder for credit cards or cash. It compliments the yellow purse nicely.
I also received a leather fringe, I didn't care for this item.
I will definitely purchase another mystery tote.
But will be back for sure🙀
Loved the color of my MB. I was so scared it might not be a color I would like. They were perfect!
I was delighted with my mystery box! I was a little nervous about the color of crossbody tote I would receive, but I could not be happier with the sunflower tote I was sent. The other items were lovely, well made, and will serve nicely as gifts, which was my intention (although they are so nice, it might be hard to give them away.
I am a writer and am using the bag primarily as a tote for my books and journals, although I have enjoyed carrying it as purse as well.
I’m pretty much like to control everything In my life so to let go and have Portland Leather do the choosing was actually nail biting. When I received my mystery box I actually ripped it apart to see what I got. I absolutely love my Sedona bag along with my other surprises. I guess letting someone else make the decision was a first for me but I consider myself adventurous now. Thank you Portland Leather
