The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

The color is lovely, but I’m warming up to the finish of the leather. I didn’t realize that it actually has a sheen. I’m not a shiny person, but maybe it will mellow. Good space in it, nice size and not too heavy.
I ordered the Buttefly Bucket Bag in Champagne. First of all, the bag is so soft! The color is neutral enough and gorgeous! It will go with everything from jeans, capris, sun dresses, to dresser if needed, and make a beautiful Spring/Summer bag. This is my 5th order since PLG ‘found’ me In January. This will definitely not be my last order.
I truly love this butterfly bag! I had been looking for a medium sized bag and this is perfect! The shape is interesting and unique. I like the closure and it sits nicely on my hip when I wear it as a crossbody. The leather is beautiful; I ordered this in the Durango, which is brown with red undertones. Soft to the touch, holds its shape, and seems like it will wear well. Only wish it had an attachment tab inside for a key fob. Not a deal breaker though! I may order another in a different color.
This is my 1st Butterfly Bag. I have only been able to use it a couple of times, but am loving it so far. I can not wait until the leather softens and the bag is not so stiff.
I absolutely love my new butterfly bucket bag. The quality is amazing. Soft, luxurious leather and the plum color I chose is absolutely delicious. Splurged a little bit on an early birthday present for myself this month. Because I knew this would be one gift I would love.
