The strap to lock down the rolled section does not have enough punch holes and the bag doesn’t stay closed. Not acceptable for the price.
The leather and color on my newly purchased bag is incredible. If you decide to purchase something from Portland Leather Goods, you will NOT be disappointed! The smell of the leather is a bonus too!!!
Initially, I was afraid the size of the bag would be too large for my petite frame, but it’s the perfect size for a work backpack. I also travel with it. Love the quality of the pebbled leather. This bag will last a lifetime. I’ve received many compliments. Since the roll top is very tunnel-like when fully extended, I would suggest using an organizer insert to easily locate small items.
I received my pack super quick from the time I ordered it. It was beautifully and safely packed. The leather is thick and sturdy and smells great! Can’t wait to break it in.
Finally, I got a real, genuine leather backpack. It’s a little bit heavy, but it has a good design and high quality.
I was looking for genuine leather backpack for a longtime. A few days ago, I found it on Pinterest. I ordered right away because I’ve already thought about buying one from Portland leather Goods.

Absolutely love it! The ox blood color is rich and bold. The quality is superb. Has a unique style but with classic feel. I love how roomy it is too. While it is a bit heavy, it’s well worth it.

I went back and forth for weeks on purchasing this backpack. It was kind of pricey, a lot more than I would normally spend on a backpack.
But these days I would rather pay more for something that lasts a long time, than something I’m going to have to replace frequently over the years.
I searched on eBay for something similar and scoured the internet for something slightly cheaper.
Nothing compared. The small savings I saw were no match for the quality I knew would be in a Portland Leather Goods pack.
So when the 25% off sale hit I bit the bullet and bought it.
I was NOT disappointed.
Although I agree with the other reviews that say the strap should have a few more holes, it’s a minor disappointment compared to the joy this back pack brings me every time I use it.
It’s deep and fits everything.
If you don’t want your stuff to roll around just get some little bags for make up, pens etc.
I love it so much.
I’m super happy I spent a little more money and got something SO well made that will last me a lifetime.
If you are undecided I say get it- you won’t regret it. It’s worth every penny.
