Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Just received my Lagoon mini crossbody. The leather has a lot of variations, on one side of the front pocket it is completely smooth. First I didn't like it, but now the more I look at it, I totally fell in love with it. It has a lot of pull-up, and so much character. I would probably only buy Almost Perfect, as these bags are so unique! Lagoon is my favorite leather, so squishy!

I purchased this bag in honey. I’ve had her 2 weeks. I prefer the pebbled bags, but decided to take a chance on the honey. I’m so glad I took a chance. I absolutely love it!! I was told to carry everyday and love her. And it will patina beautifully. I stuff her with an eclipse, wallet, phone, keys, taco keychain, water bottles, sunglasses, and a taco. The honey doesn’t scratch easily like I thought. She’s BEAUTIFUL!!!

I love my crossbody tote in the color honey. The quality is exceptional and the leather smells divine. It is quite spacious without being too oversized. I am 5’6” slender build. I use it as a work bag for my wallet, iPad, and planner supplies. With all that, it still has space for a sweater and snacks. I am very pleased with my purchase. I ordered the AP version and thought it looked amazing. I have used it daily for the past week and will definitely purchase more from Portland Leather.

The quality of this bag is amazing. It is nice and sturdy which I wanted for my work bag so that when I set it down it doesn’t fall over. In my bag I can fit a 1inch thick textbook, several small reference guide books, 40 oz water bottle, phone, keys, wallet, small zip pouch, pair of dress flats. It’s pretty full with that but I’m using it to walk into and out of work- I don’t carry it around all day. The only downside is that the color doesn’t really match what I expected for ‘honey’ based on the website. However, if I was that disappointed I could return. I won’t because I love it! No blemishes that I could see.

This bag holds all the essentials! Flat enough to fit under your arm too. I’ve loaded it up with my laptop, water bottle, snacks and it’s still light and easy to manage.

I have finally found the perfect crossbody tote! I ordered it in a beautiful pebbled black without a zipper. It is tall and can fit a ton! I love the long straps and the option for crossbody. It will be perfect for a utility tote, large purse or even for travel.
Pebbled black, slouchy, functional, and gorgeous. I love my full size crossbody! It's my first of this kind and only my third PLG bag. The leather feels both sturdy and soft. It goes with any and every outfit, and I love the TWO carry options! I use the inside d-rings (that hold the cb strap) for keys, slide my phone in the outside pocket, my mini envelope wallet in the inside pocket, and use a canvas organizer to manage the chaos of everything else. Highly functional with room to spare! Absolutely perfect! 🖤
One of the first bags I purchased from PLG was the Crossbody bag. I’ve bought many PLG bags since and I continue to purchase from this company and while I have many different sizes, styles and colors, the Crossbody bag continuous to remain in my top three. The bag is perfectly sized, allowing for the everyday essentials plus some extra room for a sweater or a book or whatever the day brings. Considering it’s a little larger than some of their other bags, it is a comfortable carry and not heavy at all, while being durable leather. The straps are oh so comfortable and I like that you have the option for a shoulder or Crossbody carry. And can we talk about Cognac? What a beautiful rich color! Would also like to mention that my first Crossbody is a little over two years old and it looks brand new. I highly recommend the Crossbody tote from PLG along with many of their other styles and sizes. I’ve sold all my other handbags as this is the brand for me.
