Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Just received my Lagoon mini crossbody. The leather has a lot of variations, on one side of the front pocket it is completely smooth. First I didn't like it, but now the more I look at it, I totally fell in love with it. It has a lot of pull-up, and so much character. I would probably only buy Almost Perfect, as these bags are so unique! Lagoon is my favorite leather, so squishy!

It holds more than the poppy, but is still a reasonably sized bag. I have dressed it both up & down and I think that plum is the most perfect “neutral” color. PLG nailed it…again!!! Now I have to get it in Chestnut.

This is the fourth time I've ordered an "almost perfect" item from Portland Leather and I can never tell what the flaw must have been. As usual, it's a cute, well-made leather bag which I purchased with a matching wallet. Looks great with everything!
I own purses in Eucalyptus, Lagoon, Avocado and now, finally, Forest Green! Flora is a unique design; I love her wider strap, the brass trees and magnetic closure. She is a bit smaller than I usually carry, but she fits everything I carry on a normal day. Forest Green is my FAVORITE green, and I'm happy to finally own her. 💚
This bag has taken over my other ones. I was extremely hesitant before purchasing. I’m really picky with structured bags. This one is the best combo of slouch and structure. I use her a lot more than the others right now.
But she’s just so versatile, she looks great dressed up or my lazy days haha. I love this bag so much! Does not disappoint. (:
