The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Bought this ro use at a Blake Shelton concert. The Dakota is wonderful. Wo glad I went with this color.
I have been avoiding belt bags because I associate them with fanny packs from the 80's (not a good association!), but I found myself needing some thing small, secure, and hands free. Well, I took a chance and ordered the Cognac Zip-Tight Belt Bag and I confess I love it! It holds just the right amount of essentials and looks great!

Yay Portland Leather! This bag is a WIN! So much so that I ordered a 2nd one in black. I now own a honey colored one and a black one.
I love a good crossbody so I converted this bag to a crossbody to interchange as needed, depending on my outing. I wear it as a belt bag with jeans etc. and convert it to a crossbody when I wear a dress or want something a little less casual. I ordered D-rings online from that large company that delivers to your door (wink, wink, starts with an “A”) and I added those to the belt loops of both my honey colored bag and the black one. I ordered the crossbody strap that matched the honey bag and transformation complete! I use the crossbody strap from my black envelope bag for the black Zip Tight Belt bag I purchased.
I just love these stylish little bags. Now I can use them in two different ways so it’s definitely a Win/Win! For reference, I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it fits perfectly. Hopefully Portland will restock it in some of the other brighter fun colors. I’d surely purchase another.
