The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I bought the almost perfect chunky loafers for work. They fit perfectly out of the box. I didn’t have to wait for a long time to stretch them out. I bought these for work and they seem to be comfortable. I’ll know for sure when I wear them for a twelve hour duty day.
Tbh I didn’t notice any defects or abnormalities on these. It looked normal and in good shape as if I had bought the original ones. Also, I couldn’t beat this price so it was a win win situation.
Not comfortable/weird fit and the penny slot is just a strip of leather that is not stitched down. Returning.
So freaking cute. Had a pair in black in the 90s and these just make me smile. So cute, go with everything, nice neutral. I want the brick!!! Easy to break in.
My first pair of loafers! I was a little worried when they first arrived because they were a little tight but after one wear, they’ve already stretched in all the right places and fit perfectly :)
Love the 90’s nod. Comfortable foot bed. Ordered my normal size and the fit. I have wide feet so they are a bit tight across the instep. Being leather I know they will stretch an fit great. Im wearing them around the house to break them in.
I had been looking and trying on many different shoe brand of loafers, and I finally decided to spring for these black chunky ones. They are a perfect fit and dress up or down for any occasion- This was my first purchase from Portland Leather… and I am hooked- so much so I bought several other items there after… some may say I am a PLG junky!
