Black shadow boots arrived quickly and they look perfect. From past experience, I knew to order up a half size from what I am in other lol boots and now they feel perfect.
I read the reviews before I got these. Most people said size up a half size & I’m so glad I did. I wear a 6.5-7 in most shoes & boots, a 6.5 in other PLG shoes that fit perfectly. I got these in 7 & but almost gave up getting them on my foot. I read someone say the “box” where your heel sits is really tight but I wasn’t expecting I wouldn’t be able to get my foot in the boot. I had to get my husband to manually stretch the inside heel area. Then I was able to get them on with a very thin sock vs barefoot. After a week of wearing them regularly they feel great but it’s still a little difficult bc they don’t slide on easily. I’ve never had to buy shoes/boots in a wide size & I have thin ankles. If I had gotten a 7.5 they would have been too large bc even the 7 feels loose once I get them on.
I really think it’s the construction of the heel box that makes them difficult to slide on. I love them so much that I ordered a black pair. I just hope they are easier to get on my foot.
My advice is use a very thin sock vs barefoot (it helps them slide into), size up a half size & don’t give up trying to get them on. I don’t think someone with wider feet or ankles could wear them. But if you’re lucky enough to get them on you will LOVE them! The height of the heel is perfect & they are so cute w/jeans or leggins.
Their description says something like “… maybe a stitch is out of place..” Well, one side one boots has a leather panel that’s a completely different shade than the rest. Thing is, it actually looks great! Just, not the same as the other shoe. I figured it’s fine because if anyone is looking that closely, frankly, let them look. But hey PLG, here’s a design option for you 😜
I have five pairs of this boot. I get comments on them often, and my friends love them.
(so do complete strangers.) I wasn’t sure I would love this black boot, but it might be my favorite color. There is a depth to it that is hard to describe. 🖤
Gorgeous….fit is perfect! Went up a half size just to make sure I can wear with socks. I bought Almost Perfect in Canyon. They look perfect to me! I haven’t seen quality like this since the old school Frye boots. Very pleased with my purchase!
