Bought these in exchange for a Rolltop Backpack that I got for my husband's birthday - the backpack was beautiful, it just wasn't his style. These boots, though!!!! He loved everything about them from first opening. He usually wears a 10.5 (size 11 for cold weather boots / boots with thick socks) and the 10.5 fit perfectly. They're a little snug but will relax after a few wears. He can't wait for cooler weather so he can wear them all the time!
My husband really likes his new boots.He is breaking them in now.
I am female, but I bought these from the men's line because I have wide feet and thick ankles and men's boots tend to work better for me. I think they are great! Plenty of room to add an insole if needed and a very classic fall boot. It was a little difficult to get them on, but I think it'll be easier once the elastic and leather stretch out a bit. Very happy!
Short review is this:
This fit true to size (for me) and are a little snug but still super comfy.
The only downside is the finger loop is very small. I can’t get my index finger inside past the fingernail.m and I don’t have huge hands (size 10 ring).
It took about a week of working in a restaurant to break these in. I'm flat footed, and what I've gathered is, there isn't real support in the boots. They are high quality, but if you have knee pain, or ankle swelling from being on your feet, you need to know that you absolutely need to get some insoles with these boots. There no support. With this being said, I saw a lot of reviews that suggest boots fit true to size. This is absolutely true, but if you care to get orthopedic insoles to make them more comfortable, go a half size up. They fit great without insoles, but get uncomfortable after long hours. With insoles, they're too tight and hurt my pinky toes. I'd recommend buying them a half size up, and getting insoles. Overall, they look great, and I receive plenty of compliments, but they're just uncomfortable after long hours, so take in to consideration what you need to do to make them comfortable.
These boots look great, and though they are on the smaller size (volume) for a given size (but not small enough to go to a bigger size), they are comfortable to wear and break in easily. My only quibble is with the insoles- they are not well adhered, and so the leather part of the insole separated from the padding in less than two weeks of wear.
