Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?
Everything from our Almost Perfect collection (excluding Mystery Box bundles) falls under our usual return policy. For more detailed information, visit our Returns page.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Mystery box win
by: Karen C.
I love mystery boxes and this one was no exception. It’s like Christmas gifts from someone who really understands how much I love quality leather goods. The colors in this box are beautiful.
Perfect surprise
by: Katie W.
I was hesitant to order a mystery box being particular about the colors of the bag I carry. My mystery box was an array of colors & I absolutely loved it! Definitely will order another box in the future.
Fun way to try new colors!
by: ALHB
I had a very fun time with this medium crossbody +4 mystery box. My main bag is tulip, which is a color outside of what I would usually pick for myself, since I usually convince myself that neutral colors are more practicala. Thisis a great way for me to branch out. Pleased with the other items as well--some will be gifts, and this makeup bag in havana was immediately put to use.
Great Value

I really loved my bag and the 4 items that came with it. The bag is very roomy.

I don’t know how it’s even possible, but I received 3 bags in my 3 favorite colors! So happy to get 2 unicorn and one traditional crossbody! And all smaller items will make perfect gifts for friends and family!
Great mystery box!

I received a beautiful Tulip and colorful Littles
My first mystery box and I’m hooked!
by: Kelly Q.
I didn’t really think I would enjoy a mystery box. I thought I would rather just buy what I want. After choosing my own items for a few months— I spontaneously decided to order a mystery box and settled on the medium CB one. I had NO IDEA how exciting it would be!! From stalking the tracking, to opening the box —it was exhilarating! Everything in the box was lovely. The MB is a cool and exciting way to get bags that aren’t available on the site. It’s also cheaper than buying the items individually. I would absolutely do it again and actually, my best friend and I just split a 3+8 tote MB and had a blast opening it together with a custom playlist and sushi. We even made an unboxing video. If you’re tempting to try a mystery box—go for it!
Medium +4
by: Hayley M.
I ordered the medium crossbody +4 mystery box and every piece is a gem! I received a turquoise zippered tote, who is gorgeous, and all of the littles are beautiful.
Fabulous Mystery Box
by: Cheryl P.
My daughter and I split this mystery box. We each picked a crossbody and have one for a Christmas gift(Granddaughter) our first mystery box and it was perfect!
Squishy Sedona!
by: Barbara S.
Love the two bags. The Sedona is so luxuriously squishy! The littles were a great variety of items and colors!
CAN’T STOP
by: Lauran
Whhhyyyyyyy are the mystery boxes so addictive???? For me, it’s because I love the neutral bags AND the colorful unicorns so it’s impossible to disappoint me. Pleeeeease make a full crossbody MB happen, PLG. : )
Gorgeous Unicorn Colors
by: Kristina Z.
This is such a fun way for people who love purses to buy! This was my 2nd Mystery Box and I was thrilled! Tulip unicorn is a very earthy rose pink color and buttery soft, the Reef makeup bag is Devine! Just those 2 things alone make it worth it. I will be buying one again in the future! PLG is my favorite place to buy purses hands down
Good variety but AP misleading
by: Erika C.
Enjoyed the contents of my mystery bag. Colors of the slg were mostly neutral. My biggest complaint is the condition of the tote. I expected imperfections butthe bag I received had so many dents, dips, folds that haven’t smoothened out even after 2 weeks and generous conditioning. Most of the dents could have avoided if better care was put into the packaging. For example, one dent/mark was from the bag strap, which could have been avoided if it was wrapped separately.
Mystery = Fun!
