Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?

Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

This is the cutest bag I've ever purchased. The color and style are perfect!
Bacalar Amelie is the lucky green you always wanted. The pebbles allow for a little bit of stretch without sacrificing the structure, the handle drop is perfect even over a jacket, and the ZERO hardware is EVERYTHING.
I have a few Amelie Shoulder Bags, because I love this elegantly functional style. I usually go for colorful bags in the smaller styles and sizes. But I saw Coldbrew in the ‘Almost Perfect’ section and decided to try this deep, rich black-coffee-colored pebbled leather.
I saw a couple of tiny color variations that may just be from a friction rub, a bug bite scar, or a small scrape received by the cow. But I saw nothing to detract from the functionality or beauty of the bag. And the pebbling and finish are sublime. I understand why Coldbrew is so popular!
I haven’t yet tried PLG’s newest version of the Amelie Bag, but I look forward to it.
By the way, Amelie does not look large, but this bag holds more than you might think! For the photos, I fully loaded the bag. Amelie retains shape and function with a light load or fully packed.
Today in my Amelie I have two full Utility Bags and two items in the long horizontal interior pocket that usually holds my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
