Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

I have a large classic tote, and while the large August is slightly smaller, I like it much better. Because of its shape, it stays closed all the time, and you can’t see the contents. It holds so much! Love the coldbrew color.

I like a soft handle and the August Tote does not disappoint. I really loved the Market Tote and Montana, but both were a touch small. The August Tote in Midnight Owl is perfection. Great size (my laptop in a sleeve fits) and gorgeous soft leather I a beautiful, muted navy. I am obsessed. The drop is perfect for me (5’7” and XL/1X). I want one more at l ast, maybe Ruby??

This Amazing August tote is my new fav bag. She easily transitions from work to party! I love the design differences in this tote that make it easier to sit on a table. The inside pocket is deeper and holds multiple smart devices without stretching the leather. I really dig the smaller width straps. It feels easier to carry, and yet the thickness of them enables me to carry a surface laptop with worrying about strap snappage. Overall 10/10. Pairs well with other PLG items. #LeatherLove
The large August tote in Forest is a dream! It is my second favorite leather next to Coldbrew and is pebbly goodness.

I really love this tote! It fits comfortably on my shoulder and is extremely roomy. There is plenty of space for everything I need to carry for personal items plus my notes and tablet for work. The structured leather holds its shape well and looks very classy. PLG did it again! Thank you!
