Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

Backpack perfection!

If you love a drawstring backpack (like I do) but really find constantly opening the bag for your most used items (phone, keys, sunglasses) then this is the backpack for you! The back zippered pocket is a game changer! It easily holds my iphone 16 plus in a case with readers but it can also hold a smaller wallet, keys, inhaler…whatever you need to grab and go or to keep secure. The adjustable wide straps fit my shoulders comfortably, and the bag balances perfectly on one shoulder. I love everything about it!
Traveling Boston Backpack better in person

I fell in love when I tried on the Boston backpack at the Seattle PLG location. Seeing it online doesn’t do justice as trying it on in person. I had to make sure the zipper pocket can hold my passport securely. As she will be my next travel bag in the spring when we go on another cruise adventure.
More than I ever expected!

The Boston Backpack was just what I needed! The size is perfect…not too small or too large and cumbersome. It holds everything I have with room to spare, and I adore the color! This is my favorite PLG so far!
Needs design improvement

I was very excited about this backpack, I thought it’d be perfect! Unfortunately my phone barely fits in the zippered pocket. There’s no interior pocket and with an interior space that large it truly needs one. And then the top the closure isn’t tight so the bag sticks out in weird angles under the flap to cover it. I would recommend the bucket backpack over this one.

I had a PLG backpack tote and wanted something at least that big to hold all my purse items. The Boston delivers!! I can actually carry more since the top is wider. I move my canvas organizer from one to the other with ease and perfect fit. The backpack zipper is good size for my keys and daisy wallet, but phone is a bit too bulky and you can feel it on your back. Rhubarb is nice feel, "soft" pebble look, medium firmness to hold shape. First suggestion for future - outer loops or snaps to attach flair (tassel, pouches). I used inner strap band and looped dragonfly to it to hang out the top side (see pic). Second suggestion - put back zipper on the opposite side. If you are right handed like me, you sling backpack to the left shoulder to fish out things from purse in checkout line. With back zipper on the left side, it's hard to get into it for my wallet or keys.

I love how much can fit in this bag and how easy it is to access everything. I got AP & was slightly worried it would have inconsisten pebbling - well it does, BUT it’s placed really well, with the side panels matching each other & the middle panel & flap being slightly different from the sides, it actually looks really coool. My favorite feature is the zip pouch in the back - such a safe, secure spot for wallet & phone while still being quick to grab.

Great backpack- perfect pebbles! It doesn’t fit my 15” laptop as well as I had hoped, but decided to keep it anyway because it can definitely be used on days when I have a lot to carry or for traveling!

Works great for carrying my water bottle, lunch, and a couple small items
I adore this backpack. I’m 5’1” and put these straps on the tightest with no issues, fit perfectly. The leather is super soft and squishy and had no imperfections even being AP. All of the panels are a different degree of pebbling but I like that. The top flap does appear to be a “stamp guided” pebbling, so it looks very uniform. Overall, this is a 10/10 purchase for me and I would recommend it to anyone.
I have yet to really put Rhubarb Boston Backpack to the test yet but it looks so cute on and can hold a good bit! I LOVE the pocket at the back and do wish there was an interior pocket but that’s okay, that’s what the organizers and pouches are for!
This is my first ever backpack and I am so impressed! It’s super comfortable, easy to get things in and out of and holds so much.
