We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

MEDIUM: Can fit a water bottle, snacks, a book, wallet, sunglasses and a 13” Macbook snugly. Measured 11.5” wide across the bottom, 15” wide across the top, 5.5” deep, and 12” tall.
LARGE: Fits a water bottle, snacks, book, wallet, sunglasses, back-up shirt, and a 15” Macbook snugly. Measures 13” wide across the bottom, 18” wide across the top, 6” deep, and 12” tall.
OVERSIZED: Fits all that plus a pair of jeans and a larger laptop comfortably. Measures 14” wide across the bottom, 21” wide across the top, 6” deep, and 13” tall.
The drop length for all of our handles is 10.5” regardless of the size of the tote, and suits most!

I’m in love with this classic purse! I purchased the medium which is a perfect size for everyday use. My almost perfect did have a few scuff marks on the back, which seems different than most people’s reviews saying that they couldn’t see any marks or imperfections on their bags. I love it, but wanted to mention that I do see marks on mine. Not enough to return, and figured more scuffs will happen naturally. My toddler really likes it too!
The perfect tote!

I received my medium classic leather tote in Lava and it is amazing! The color is absolutely stunning. I’m so glad I was able to scoop it up. The leather feels so luxurious, it has a mix of smooth and pebbled. The inside is spacious. There is plenty of room for my computer, iPad, wallet, cardigan, kids snacks, and way more! I love that there is both an outside and inside pocket, and the loop on the inside for keys is genius. I highly recommend this bag!

This is my everyday work bag and it worked perfectly on a recent flight. It fits under the seat just fine. I did not find any imperfections in my almost perfect honey zippered tote.

I ordered the small AP zippered tote in Durango and it has become my absolute favorite Portland Leather bag. It may be AP but I can't find any faults in it other than one tiny spot on the pocket. The color is stunning. I debated on the color, going from Durango to Cognac and finally settling on Durango. Wow, I am so glad I made that call. Pictures do not do the color justice. Its a very rich brown that can be easily carried dressed up or casually. I need more Durango in my accessory assortment.

The 'Almost Perfect Leather Tote Bag" is completely perfect. Got the small size and it still carries my MacBook Pro, IPad and all the miscellaneous items I need to carry around. Both in a professional capacity or on the town with friends, this bag is all I need. And it looks good! But, best of all, it is not heavy. It really doesn't add much weight to my already overburdened load. Light and sturdy, just what I need!

From the moment I started opening my box, and a rich leather scent enveloped me, I knew this was going to be high quality. What a gorgeous tote! I purchased the honey/dark brown medium sized tote and it is superb! From the beautiful rich color, the contrasting handles, dedicated craftsmanship, to the quality leather, everything about this tote screams classic and chic. The medium size tote is perfect in size, roomy but still a purse without going into the travel bag size. I also purchased the eclipse style makeup bag in honey and love pairing the two bags together for style and organization. Stop buying flimsy little totes, make this purchase, and you’ll never buy another tote again - well, you’ll likely buy another from Portland Leather but that’s only because you LOVE it so much!

This bag was not on my radar, but a woman on a recent flight with me had an OS tote in Dakota and I fell in love. I feel that the OS accommodates a laptop and other typical travel items a little better than a large tote (but maybe I just carry too much stuff!). I love the feel and texture of Dakota, and think that it could work well dressed up or down. Don’t sleep on Dakota – grab it before it retires!

My first large tote at an exceptional deal on Meadow. This is such an exquisite thick leather and will a workhorse, big enough for a picnic or winter hats and gloves.
I purchased this as a gift for a friend for the holidays. I knew this bag would be gorgeous before even receiving it!! If you have a friend who needs to have allll the things on hand- this is the perfect bag!
Love the medium size classic tote, it makes for a perfect size purse for me! I purchased this in Surf, which is a subtle blue green, at a discount and couldn’t be happier. I especially like the depth of the totes, everything settles at the bottom with less of an opportunity to spill.
