The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

At first when I opened the package I almost cried. It was late in the evening, the light was not so good and the bag looked grayish. I realized I expected Bone and not Dragon Bone! When I looked at it in the morning it looked totally different. And when I actually wore it with an outfit I realized it is a perfect summer bag for me!!! I love it. It complements many of my clothes and looks really stylish. Cognac Lucy is my first love, but Dragon Bone is my close second!

I’m old school and was always a big fan of the original Coach purses with the high grade leather and the heavy duty zipper. They just don’t make those high quality leather purses anymore and they want $400+ for the ones they do still make. This purse is exactly what I’ve been looking for! High quality leather, beautiful color, heavy duty zipper, and perfect size. I could not be more pleased with this purchase! It is everything I was looking for! I absolutely love it!!
I was slightly concerned about ordering after reading some negative reviews, but my experience with my order has been fabulous. I got the almost perfect Lucy in champagne bc I was sick of carrying around a generic black Mompurse. The Lucy is a cute size for errand running, lunch and dinner dates and the like, I couldn’t find any flaws in my purse at all—it looked perfect to me, and the champagne is a wonderful summer neutral that goes with everything. Shipping was quick and packaging was fabulous. I’ve gotten several complements on it already. I highly recommend Portland leather, and in fact, I immediately ordered a tote purse for travel based upon my experience. Don’t hesitate.
