The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

These boots were pretty stiff on day one, as expected. After wearing them for a few days straight and walking around quite a bit (5-6 miles?), they broke in pretty well.
They'll need a round of saddle soap and then I'll treat them with something.

I wasn't sure what to expect having purchased similar boots from other well known manufacturers at a much higher price. I have only been in them for a week now, but I am blown away by the quality and comfort of these boots. The materials are fantastic and the leather looks amazing considering they were in the Almost Perfect category. I love the sole which is more aggressive than the other brand I own. It will be a much better solution for when the winter weather arrives. I would highly recommend these boots and will certainly be buying another pair in the future.
First time I purchased from this company, I would do it again. I bought some "Almost Perfect" boots. And that's exactly what they are, almost perfect. Yhe price was fantastic and so, I'm quite happy. Give 'em a shot.
It was wonderful experience to buy two pairs of the Portland Leather Chelsea boots for the first time.
The look is amazing; however, they feel very tight and I am hoping they’ll loosen soon.
The soles are very stiff and tend to slip slightly wet/misty indoor tiles.
Very difficult to slip on and remove them.
It really takes work.
I have mix feelings about them.
Sadly, I bought the same types of two pairs of shoes.
Great looking boot, well constructed, seriously good value....highly recommend!!
I got the almost perfect Chelsea boots and really I can’t figure out what was imperfect about them. There was one stitch along the sole that wasn’t EXACTLY in the right place, but if they weren’t called near perfect, I would have been happy calling them flawless. Highly recommend.
