The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

'Almost Perfect' Classic XL Messenger Bag
Back by popular demand, the XL Messenger is our most handsome and hardworking bag. Well- constructed with sturdy leather, the bag features two interior compartments, built-in laptop sleeve that fits up to a 15” Macbook, two smaller pockets for staying organized, and a key loop. Two magnetic-buckle closures and a center fastened-buckle give you both security and quick access. The crossbody strap can be attached at multiple points to suit your carrying style. The XL Messenger is a remarkable piece of leather work that can be passed down for generations.
No two PLG bags are alike! Please note: it is normal for all of our products, including Premium items, to have unique variations and character markings that are inherent to natural full-grain leather. Pebbled leathers are achieved naturally and not artificially pressed. Due to leather thickness, measurements may vary slightly. Color may also have subtle variations from batch-to-batch.
