Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade, making each piece uniquely yours.
Our leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Full Grain: Meticulously sourced from the finest hides, this premium material boasts unique textures and character, showcasing nature's artistry at its best. As time passes, watch as its surface develops a unique patina, telling your personal journey through the years. Unlike processed leathers, full grain leather stands the test of time, due to its unmatched strength and resilience. Its dense fibers offer exceptional resistance to wear, cuts, and moisture, our full grain leather ensures lasting beauty that only gets better with age.
Top Grain: Top-grain starts from the same premium zone of the hide but is lightly sanded and finished for a more uniform surface. That light correction softens and evens the face while keeping most of the strength you want. Takes pigment and protective finishes beautifully, which helps with colorfastness and stain resistance. Ages gracefully, especially when we keep the finish thin enough to let the leather breathe and break in.
We use top-grain when a smoother cosmetic is the goal—think color consistency across large panels—without walking away from the core strength you expect from a Portland bag.
Pebbled: Unlike most brands that use artificial stamping methods to create patterns, our pebbled leather is achieved through a natural tumbling process. The distinctive raised, pebble-shaped texture adds sophistication and makes a bold statement wherever you go. But it's not just about looks—pebbled leather is built to last. Worried about daily wear and tear? Don’t be! The unique pebbled surface ages gracefully, developing a natural patina that will evolve for years to come!
Suede: Our suede leather begins with an intricate process: the hide is split to separate the soft underside from the top layer. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. Naturally slouchy and pliable, suede leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina that tells its own story over time. Most natural imperfections are gently smoothed away during production, while subtle traces—like healed veining and the soft, napped surface—are preserved to celebrate the leather’s unique character and charm.
Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade—making each piece uniquely yours.

Little but Mighty
by: Rachel F.
This purse exceeded my expectations: the soft leather, incredible color - honey, the front pocket that holds my phone, roomy interior. Fits my wallet, sunglasses, small makeup bag, sanitizer, and still has room. It can easily be dressed up or down. It’s my new everyday bag.
Practical and Beautiful
by: Martha E.
This bag has defined lines, smooth, slick and beautiful. I chose the "Cognac", brown with highlights of reddish tint, love how the warm brown of the leather outlines the strap. Lovely!
Crossbody Toaster bag in Coldbrew!
by: Victoria L.
My life is finally organized with my new Crossbody Bag! I can fit (sunglasses, wallet, phone, keys, pen, lip balm, and a snack!!!) into this bag! I know it’s going to last me a lifetime because of the quality! This is the real thing and I’m so happy that I finally found a bag that fits my lifestyle! Thank You!
The Minimalist’s Festival Bag
by: Noelle A.
I love this small camera bag for its simplicity. It’s the perfect bag for that casual pop of color at an afternoon art faire, or happy hour. This one was a gift for my massage therapist. In Cape Coral with a Mamey small bifold, it is summer delicious. I had a strap made for it too.
Tiny powerhouse
by: Paula R.
I really like the small Camera bag. This is Cape Coral - I wanted Koi but was too slow, and honestly from the fb pics, I think this is close enough for what I wanted. Leather is soft and squishy. Zipper is sturdy. This holds only the essentials: phone in a sturdy case, a few cards, lip balm, and my sunglasses tucked carefully under the zipper. If you’re looking for a light weight minimalist bag this one is great
Love my Camera Bags
by: Brenda A.
I can’t say enough good things about the camera bag!! I love both sizes but tend to carry the large more. They hold more than you’d think and are the perfect bag!!
This is the perfect size!
by: Jenni G.
Love this little bag. It’s the perfect size to carry my Hobonichi weeks planner and my other essentials all while remaining light and not too heavy on my shoulder. I really really hope they come out with fun colors in this bag because I would love to get a few more in happy colors!
Cute, compact crossbody
by: Michelle B.
I ordered the small. It’s narrower than I expected but it still fits quite a bit.
Perfect size!
by: Valerie H.
This is the perfect size of purse for me to grab when I’m just going to do a quick run to the grocery store! I have a full-size bifold wallet, and I can fit it in here easily, along with my keys and sunglasses. For the record, I am 6‘2“ tall, and I have not adjusted the strap in any way.
Love my little camera bag.
by: Natalie H.
I thought I had found the perfect size in my small circle bag, but it was difficult to arrange things for easy access. The small camera bag has similar dimensions but I find the shape makes it easier to pack. Love the cognac leather and I added a yellow pom for a splash of color. Love it. On a side note, I would like to see a chart/graph to display the leathers according to slouch to firm qualities. Sometimes this aspect of the leather is important in choosing a bag and currently it takes some back and forth to find the right combo. I see the chart for texture of smooth, pebbled, buffed, etc.. Maybe a similar screen could be used for slouch to firm. Anyway I love Portland Leather!
Love!!
by: Jessica C.
Larger than anticipated and I love cinnamon bear!! Red hues pick up in the light and great for running errands.
Adorable & fits a lot!
by: Marissawearsanoutfit
My bag is the Sedona color and I love it! The front pocket is perfect for my phone and you can fit a surprising amount in the bag. I do wish it either had more holes or a cinch to make the strap a little shorter! Nothing that can’t be fixed by adding a few of my own holes though!
My new Fall favorite!
by: Eileen W.
I am loving the size and color of my new Plum Toaster bag. It is the perfect size for carrying my daily necessities. I love the outside (and inside) pocket, and the rich plum color is going to be FABULOUS for the Fall!
Great bag!
by: Jennifer V.
The camera bag packs a lot in a smaller space. This is my go to when I don't need to carry everything that's in my mini crossbody. It has room for my bifold wallet, 2 pair of glasses, my keys, an iphone, and a few smaller items. It has an interior and an exterior pocket large enough for an iphone 15pro. My photo shows the large camera bag in cinnamon bear with the cognac mini crossbody tote.
Perfect Crossbody in Sparrow
by: Kelly N.
Love, love, love this bag! The color is so hard to describe, but it is beautiful. I can fit everything I need in a large camera bag. It is one of my favorite styles.
Customer Reviews
i am so happy with my purchase. this bag is absolutely beautiful. i can't wait to start using it.
I’ve been stalking the plum color for months and it did not disappoint.
The richness of the color and the perfect size of the purse itself- I could not ask for more.
The large is so boxy but the small camera bag is perfect for a night out, or to throw in your tote. Plum is so squishy and beautiful I am collecting as many of my favorites in this leather.
I ordered this bag in yellow because I loved my Aspen in the same shade and this one did not disappoint. The leather is soft and pebbled and the color is a beautiful golden yellow. The small is the perfect size for on the go and holds my card wallet, phone, small coin purse, lip gloss, and key fob without looking overly stuffed. The length options are great for the strap, especially for my 5'4" frame. I have camera bags in the next size up but I really love this size.
This bag is a great small size. I wish the strap was removable, but overall, it’s a great bag.
