The wax found in our canvas items inherently keeps the material more resistant to scratches and dirt as well as acts as a repelling agent to moisture. While our canvas is tough and ready to be your go-to item right out of the box, we are happy to share a few care tips to keep your new canvas looking fine and feeling great.
- In the event you notice some debris, spot clean your canvas with a lightly damp microfiber towel.
- If a stain is a bit more stubborn, add a mild soap, but be sure to remove all soap residue with a cool towel and allow the item to air dry after. We ask you to avoid all detergents, bleach, and no need to machine wash your canvas either!
- Out in the elements like us in the Pacific Northwest? You can add an additional wax layer for more water resistance. Keep in mind this may darken the overall look of your canvas item.

I was so happy 😊 when the UPS truck 🚚 arrived. I was given a large box 🗃 and I knew it contained my blue duffel bag. When I opened the box I was very pleased at what I saw. A beautiful blue canvas duffel with leather bottom and trim. I will use this bag on a cruise to Alaska with my new husband this fall. Thanks to Portland Leather Goods, I will travel in style. I am very happy with my purchase.
So, this is the AP bag, and it is in the Grey, which is NOT waxed fabric. It was one of the first PLG things I wanted when I learned of the brand, and I was worried about AP at the time, so I didn't but it. Then I learned so much from purse pals in the Insider's Group. Then it sold out. And then... it returned. I am flat crazy in love with the details of this duffel bag. It is structured where it needs to be, soft where it can get away with it. The leather trim is both elegant and feels indestructible. The entire bag actually seems like it is the kind that is going to have to get passed on when I die, because it is going to hold up for a lot of years. For me, it is the perfect weekend bag. Others might be able to use it for longer, but I don't like cramming things. I included photos of it in front of my gigantic OS Black tote, and the tote is dwarfed by it. I can't even tell you how much I fit in that tote! ha ha Bottom line, if you want a BEAUTIFUL and SUPER HIGH QUALITY bag that will likely out live you, get the duffel.
Anticipating the return of the duffle bag was an exercise in patience, but the wait was undoubtedly worthwhile. I was immediately captivated by its beauty, entranced by its divine scent, and pleasantly surprised by its generous storage capacity. This duffle bag offers ample room to accommodate at least a week’s worth of clothing, making it an ideal choice for extended trips. However, its appeal extends far beyond practicality. The undeniable durability of this bag assures me that it will remain a faithful companion for many years to come.
I am already considering purchasing additional duffle bags for each of my children. I am confident they will appreciate the exceptional craftsmanship and enduring style of this product, just as I do. Paired with the matching laptop backpack in nutmeg, my travel ensemble will be both practical and stylish.

When my husband retired he was given a beautiful duffle and on our first trip I knew I had to have one. So we priced one like his - $650.00!!! Out of the question. Then I remembered that my purse obsession, PLG, sold some kind of duffle; boy do they ever!! My duffle is gorgeous and holds an amazing amount of clothes. So much easier to pack than my hard sided rolling suitcase. I can use my packing modules with ease and the best part (and the part that amazed my hubs) mine has a beautiful leather bottom so it sits up perfectly, his does not!!! I love this duffle! Don’t let the guys have all the fun!
