This is my first Portland Leather bag. I love the bag. It’s light weight and a beautiful color.
Beautiful craftspeople-ship and so soft! Love the shade of blue! Solid piece that stays in place when carrying it and although a large size, giant feel bulky. I bought this and tote and I'm already looking at others. If you're already considering this bag, do yourself a favor and get it!

I see tons of love for the cross bodies and regular totes, but this market tote is a hidden gem, IMO. I love the look of the bag, and it’s the perfect size to hold a lot or a little. I usually have it pretty empty, but there is plenty of room to throw in my book, water bottle, even laptop, if I need to. This tote deserves more recognition!!!
PS the smell of these leather bags is heaven. My husband comments on it every time he drives my car (the bag lives in my passenger seat).
I fell in love with the color “Storm” and have a medium tote with zipper and natural handles. It was a little larger for my dad to day and the handles often slip off my shoulder. I have seen the Market Tote and thought I would give it a try in my new fav color, “Smoke”. First off it has plenty of room inside for all my daily things without too much empty space. The backside of the interior pocket is part of the tote itself and the exterior pocket is slightly smaller from side to side but the same depth of the medium tote. The handles don’t slip off my shoulder. YAY! The brass rings dress it up and allow the handles to collapse easily. It is missing a key loop (I think everything should have a key loop) so I solved that missing item by using the PLG Small Keychain. I the Market Tote sooooo much that I will be getting it in other colors. You can”t have too many PLG totes.
