We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?

Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

My new AP Black pebbled CB Tote is perfect. I got this CB primarily for my laptops. The first photo (with my Metro Mini) show (or don't really show) my CB holding my 13" Macbook Pro. - perfection! The second photo is holding my work 14" MacBook Pro and that's not too shabby either! Love the versatility of having long shoulder handles and crossbody strap. Happy camper here. I love my crossbody tote in the color honey. The quality is exceptional and the leather smells divine. It is quite spacious without being too oversized. I am 5’6” slender build. I use it as a work bag for my wallet, iPad, and planner supplies. With all that, it still has space for a sweater and snacks. I am very pleased with my purchase. I ordered the AP version and thought it looked amazing. I have used it daily for the past week and will definitely purchase more from Portland Leather.

The quality of this bag is amazing. It is nice and sturdy which I wanted for my work bag so that when I set it down it doesn’t fall over. In my bag I can fit a 1inch thick textbook, several small reference guide books, 40 oz water bottle, phone, keys, wallet, small zip pouch, pair of dress flats. It’s pretty full with that but I’m using it to walk into and out of work- I don’t carry it around all day. The only downside is that the color doesn’t really match what I expected for ‘honey’ based on the website. However, if I was that disappointed I could return. I won’t because I love it! No blemishes that I could see.

My favorite style of Portland Leather
The full-size Crossbody bag is my absolute favorite bag from Portland Leather. I absolutely love it.
This bag is a “have to have it”! She’s soft and puddly yet shines in any environment. The Cosmo color called out to me from the first moment I laid eyes on her. I don’t carry a lot of necessities so that leaves room for shopping finds, a sweater for indoor venues, a book to have on hand when waiting… and my large drink cup and an emergency snack or two. I don’t need another but this bag makes me want more. I’m 5’2” on a good day and this beautiful tote does not overwhelm my short stature.
I love everything about this bag. I wasn't sure if I would like Cosmo in person, but its a beautiful shade, not too pink or bright just feminine. I love that the bag is big enough to carry everything and anything I want to bring with me, but is slouchy and not bulky at all. I can definitely see having more than one crossbody.
Oh goodness, the FSCB tote came to me and i am in love. I would absolutely love it in supernova, plum, olive green. This bag is my absolute purse peace, squishy, carries everything. I didn't know what I was missing!
