Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

I’m absolutely in love with the Daisy Plus wallet! This is my first item in the Foxglove color, and I’m obsessed with how soft the brushed leather feels. I already own the smaller Daisy wallet and didn’t think Portland Leather could top it—but they did! The added card slot makes it easy to organize my essential cards, especially when I’m using one of my smaller PLG bags. The overall size is spacious enough to hold a generous amount of cash. Very impressed, PLG!

This little daisy is adorable and the color (Aquarius) is gorgeous! The leather around the snap is a little wonky, but you can only see it when it’s open and it doesn’t affect the function. Great little wallet!

A bit bigger than a regular Daisy. Just the right amount of extra room for a couple of cards and folded cash. Comet Blue is a bright metallic blue. So glad I added this to my collection.
