Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Since fabric-lined bags inevitably discolor and tear with use, we chose to showcase the soft sueded underside of our hides, ensuring that your bag lasts a lifetime.
Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade—making each piece uniquely yours.
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina & smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow's life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

Love the Larkspur I got. Holds more than you'd think

I am thankful mine didn't have something wrong with the flap being too long or their being a weird dimple on the front. Mine seems perfect so far. Packed it with my normal essentials, and it fits a lot more than I thought it would. Larkspur is a lovely color. I'd have to say for the most part it looks like a plum version of Merlot. But in the shade it looks more purple.

I got a large Monaco in Chocolate Brown on launch day, and it instantly became my favorite PLG bag! It is the perfect size for all my daily carry items, it sits so comfortably against my body, and it can easily be casual or more dressy depending on how you dress it up. The Chocolate Brown leather is SO silky smooth and is just perfection in this style!

I purchased the large Monaco in Stone. I tend towards more vibrant colors but needed a neutral and this is perfect! Great size for those who don’t carry a lot, and the magnet closure seemed strong. I made a little tassel for the front to give it a little more personality 💛

I saw this lovely bag online and thought it wasn’t for me so didn’t order it. I went to the Seattle store in person with no intention of getting it and fell instantly in love with a small nutmeg. I wasn’t leaving without it. It’s very boho looking in the pebbly leather…especially with matching tassel I bought with it! It’s a tad smaller than I usually carry but didn’t love the large and was obsessed with the small so I’ll just carry less.

The Almost Perfect Monaco is anything but "almost"...its a beautiful bag! The size large is the perfect size for daily carry, it holds a lot more than you'd think! I got it in nutmeg. The color is rich pebbled and soft. If you haven't gotten the Monaco, don't waste time....its a great bag! I love it🥰👜🥰

I purchased the small Monaco in Larkspur. I love everything about it. The size is a bit deceptive as it holds more than it would appear to and the color/leather is fabulous. It's a color shifter depending on the light with a smooth, silky feel.
