Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade, making each piece uniquely yours.
Our leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Full Grain: Meticulously sourced from the finest hides, this premium material boasts unique textures and character, showcasing nature's artistry at its best. As time passes, watch as its surface develops a unique patina, telling your personal journey through the years. Unlike processed leathers, full grain leather stands the test of time, due to its unmatched strength and resilience. Its dense fibers offer exceptional resistance to wear, cuts, and moisture, our full grain leather ensures lasting beauty that only gets better with age.
Top Grain: Top-grain starts from the same premium zone of the hide but is lightly sanded and finished for a more uniform surface. That light correction softens and evens the face while keeping most of the strength you want. Takes pigment and protective finishes beautifully, which helps with colorfastness and stain resistance. Ages gracefully, especially when we keep the finish thin enough to let the leather breathe and break in.
We use top-grain when a smoother cosmetic is the goal—think color consistency across large panels—without walking away from the core strength you expect from a Portland bag.
Pebbled: Unlike most brands that use artificial stamping methods to create patterns, our pebbled leather is achieved through a natural tumbling process. The distinctive raised, pebble-shaped texture adds sophistication and makes a bold statement wherever you go. But it's not just about looks—pebbled leather is built to last. Worried about daily wear and tear? Don’t be! The unique pebbled surface ages gracefully, developing a natural patina that will evolve for years to come!
Suede: Our suede leather begins with an intricate process: the hide is split to separate the soft underside from the top layer. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. Naturally slouchy and pliable, suede leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina that tells its own story over time. Most natural imperfections are gently smoothed away during production, while subtle traces—like healed veining and the soft, napped surface—are preserved to celebrate the leather’s unique character and charm.
Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade—making each piece uniquely yours.

Great Little

Loving the large canoe, especially in sunshine! Perfect for holding my essentials!
Large Canoe in Sunshine
by: Elizabeth P.
With my birthday points, I ordered the large canoe in Sunshine, mainly as a sunglass case that I could carry at work. I wanted a pebbled leather because it’s super soft! When it came, I was shocked at how huge it was! I ended up using it as a clutch for our recent road trip and put my sunglasses, phone, chapstick, and Daisy wallet with several cards/ID in it. It turned out to be perfect as a clutch and I really like using it like that when I’m just running around town. Pebbled leather is the absolute best and it became my “fidget” during the road trip too, lol! Sunshine is one of my favorite colors—it matched the hot springs we stopped at as well! If you want a sunglass case, get the small canoe, lol! If you want a clutch, get the large canoe!

I bought the Canoe Zip Pouch for the color sample and to see something new. I love the color! I am pleasantly surprised by how much fits in it! I use this one to store my PLG flair!
Perfect little pouch!
by: Alice M.
Sunshine is so soft and squishy. It fits perfect in the small Monaco!!
Great slim pouch
by: Jennifer D.
Really didn’t think I’d like this pouch as much as I do. Especially in the pebbly leathers, quite a lot fits inside her. She’s a great cord pouch, or lip gloss/chapstick pouch, that you can tuck right into your bag and she takes up little space. Grab one before they’re gone!

Thank you again! This will be great for all my little things when carrying my new Belle bag! ❤️
Better than expected
by: Angelina D.
I didn’t think I would use this, but after thought it is perfect for what I have been looking for. It’s a great little to keep my lady pads in. I have both sizes to accommodate my needs. Currently use the small in my Large Forest Green Madison.
Grab a canoe 🛶 near you!

Well, isn't she cute? She's a nice little addition to a bag! The shape is fun and it's flat, meaning it won't be bulky in your bag. Spoon in picture for comparison. 🛶🥄💚

Large Canoe. Holds all my lip products
by: Lenora R.
I might be a lip gloss junkie and this bag holds them all perfectly. The bag is solid, slim, soft and gorgeous. I sprayed it before using it and anticipate it will hold up well! I love the pop of color that Superbloom is.
My favorite pouch
by: Maribel R.
I really love this pouch because it’s flatter than others that I have and fits better in my bags. This is the small size, but I love it so much that I ordered a large one too.
Does the job!
by: AW
Just needed something small to organize the tiny items in my bag (chapstick, AirPods, hair clips etc). Sea Glass is a gorgeous color!
Perfect for large sunglasses
by: Amber M.
I realize Portland has glasses cases. However I have the curved wrap around sunglasses that dont fit in a traditional case. This Canoe pouch fits them perfectly! Now I dont have to worry about them being scratched up by plopping them in a bag. The pouch is soft and floppy so it fits my needs perfectly!
Large Canoe!
by: Moriah V.
Awesome size and shape for a pouch to perfectly fit in all my bags! I bought 3 larges, and may go for a small next for date night bags!
Customer Reviews
Big enough to fit a decent amount of stuff, and small enough to fit in my Mini Ashburn. Laurel is a great color, and goes well with all my bags.

I had been wanting to try a canoe pouch for awhile, so when I found her in Jungle at a store, I scooped her up immediately! She is a good size for thinner items.
Love Canoe Zips! So useful for knick-knacks
