The most beautiful backpack I have ever owned. Foxglove is the type of pink I love: not bright or discordant but neutral and rich, leaning slightly towards purple. The leather feels velvety soft. I did treat it thoroughly with Apple Garde spray before use to keep this more delicate brushed leather protected from stains or rough wear. I have a Sidekick in Succulent (same leather but green) that I didn’t treat and the corners are already a little worn just from carrying it in a tote for a couple weeks. The backpack straps could be a little shorter for me (5’2” 170lbs) but I’m sure they are this long with sizing holes all the way to the end to be inclusive for bodies of all sizes, which I do appreciate.

This backpack is incredible! I was wearing crossbody bags, but really wanted a backpack to evenly distribute weight. I searched for months, wanting a simple design that wasn't too big or too small and one that wasn't bulky that would lay flat on my back. Then I happened to come across Portland Leather. The minute I saw the tote backpack I knew it was the one! I'm not a leather girl, so I was a little worried it might be heavy, but to my surprise it's not and is very comfortable to wear. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the bag is truly gorgeous. I chose Coldbrew, and although in my pics the sunlight picks up slight red tones, it's a beautiful neutral rich brown. The tote backpack was one of the last bags I purchased and I’ve realized I prefer it to all of the crossbody bags (and the triangle for a smaller bag). It’s just the perfect size for what I carry and I can squeeze a 30 oz yeti into it if I had to. It’s comfortable to carry on one or both shoulders for me. I have it in satsuma and now plum. Cold brew or nutmeg next :)

I love this backpack. It’s incredibly well made and such a gorgeous color (foxglove). The straps are a bit stiff as it’s new, but I imagine once they break in they’ll be wonderful. I tend to overpack so I’ve had to adjust what I carry for this bag to work for me. The opening is a bit narrow so getting things in and out when it’s very full is difficult. Otherwise, this bag is perfect.
Perfect pebbles, bright, vivid color. Just gorgeous! Can’t wait for Spring to be able to carry it.

I so love this bag! The Classic Tote Backpack in Plum was my first PLG purchase and I am already in the I May Have Problem rewards tier in just a few short months! I bought this bag specifically because the dimensions would allow me to carry my iPad Air 13” in its keyboard case along with my new PLG bifold wallet and pouch of other purse essentials. I hadn’t carried a backpack purse in decades and I was worried the straps would be too small, but I don’t even have them on their longest setting. I had to add flair and love the way the Sunflower Mockingbird pouch compliments the Plum leather. The Mockingbird and the Jellyfish also make it easier to pull the zippers open and closed quickly when I’m in a hurry. My iPhone 15 Max fits comfortably in the front pocket as well as the inside pocket. I just couldn’t be happier with the size and feel of the leather. And when loaded, she stands up pretty well which is an added bonus.
