Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade, making each piece uniquely yours.

FULL-GRAIN LEATHER: Our leather is the highest quality full-grain chap and English bridle leather available. We only use hides as a byproduct of the beef industry, we like to think that we're helping to minimize waste by using hides that may otherwise be wasted. This kind of leather will never look flawless, as it hasn't been covered in any kind of plastic coating. Don’t worry about keeping the tote perfect - the best part about 100% full-grain leather is that it just gets better with age.
UNLINED AND OPEN INTERIOR: Our Tote Bags are unlined, featuring the natural suede underside of the leather on the inside. We use full-grain, oil-tanned leather that is incredibly durable and water tight – it's the same quality of leather that is used in making boots, saddles, and all manner of made-to-last, all-weather leather goods!

This is my first PLG purchase, and I am simply stunned by the thickness, quality, color, and smell of the leather - pictures don't do it justice!! This is the small zippered tote in honey. I am a tiny individual (4'11" with short little t-rex arms lol) and I'm usually not a tote person because I find them to be oversized on me. But the small is perfect for me! I love how PLG offers so many different sizes!!! I took some photos with the tote in case it helps my fellow shorties out there. :)

In case you’re like me, looking at reviews to help make the “right purchase”, here it is. I ordered the Large Tote in Cognac with a zipper hoping for the perfect work bag that could be versatile. The large fits a 13in Mac with LOTS of space around it (I tested my husbands 15in Mac it fits, but won’t zip), a hardcover journal or two, a hydro flask (all sizes- sometimes two, one for water and one for coffee), snack, and electronics bag, plus wallet. My favorite feature is the key hook!! Overall, I’m definitely satisfied with my newest PLG bag, worth the purchase!
Lava is amazing

I got the OS tote with a zipper in Lava. Let me tell you, as pretty as you might think Lava is in the pictures, it's even prettier in person. I can tell this bag is going to age well. The OS tote holds my 16" MBP laptop (something I've been searching for for a long time), PLUS everything else I could need for a day away (for scale, in the interior image, the purse is a mini crossbody and what I believe an eclipse makeup bag). This leather is not slouchy but it isn't so stiff it feels plastic. I can see this will be a good travel bag. The handle drop is the perfect length for over the shoulder and (as a taller person), holding in my hands and not skimming the ground. As much as I love this bag, it's not an every day bag and probably isn't for everyone. I'm tall so the size is fine, but I could see it overwhelming someone shorter or petite. The handles are stiff and the edges could use a slight bevel. I'm hoping they will round out a little as I use the bag. And its a lot of leather which means this bag isn't light even before adding my laptop, purse and water bottle. While I will use it as I travel, it will not be an out-and-about sightseeing bag; it will be my to the airport to the hotel to the airport bag.

Perfect size and features! The key loop and inside pocket are perfect, and it’s a great size to take a book and enjoy a coffee at the shop down the street. The zipper adds a layer of security, too. Gorgeous color, too!

Favorite work bag yet

I’ve had my eye on this bag for more than a year and I finally decided to treat myself. I love the texture of the pebbled leather, and while the smooth straps definitely feel a little stiff while the bag is still new, the smooth leather there is a really strong construction that I know will break in AND hold up over time.
I carry my entire server uniform—including shoes!—along with a small medical tote, my wallet, my over-ear headphones, and various odds and ends, in just this bag. It would also be great as a weekender if you pack light; it is as spacious as it seems!!! I really love it, I can’t wait to use it forever!!!

I had been eyeing this tote online but I wanted to see it before I bought it. One a recent trip to Dallas I went the store in the Galleria. The sales lady was amazing. The tote is to haul my things back and forth to work. It put my every day items, my lunch bag, my big laptop fits easily and on some days extra shoes. The leather is beautiful but it does freak me put a little that it gets scratches and smudges so easy but it's leather!
Love it no regrets.
