Our U.S. sourced leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Full Grain: Our full-grain and gently brushed leathers are among the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been removed. These marks are proof that the leather will become more beautiful with age.
Pebbled: Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

The Lola is my favorite handbag! I had the original version and bought the zip as soon as it was available. Holds everything need on a daily basis, without feeling heavy or bulky, and I can easily slip in my iPad too. I have this bag in Fog and Cognac. The bag holds it shape nicely and the Cognac is such a rich, classy color! The bag works for both casual and dressy occasions. I would buy it in every color of the rainbow if I could!
The leather is phenomenal! The size is perfect—not big enough to feel cumbersome worn CB and fits lots more than my Mini CB. Just what I wanted!
This purchase was intentional as I really wanted, not needed, a honey bag that was high quality. I landed on the Lola and I love it. Seriously! It’s a little bigger than I usually like but since I can use it as a crossbody it works. I dolled it up a bit with a different strap, which my kids say is something I would do. Lol. Anywho…I’m super happy with the products from Portland Leather.
I got the Lola in pebbled black and it’s perfect! It holds a lot but isn’t bulky. The pebbled black leather isn’t super squishy, so it holds its shape nicely. Definitely recommend this bag!
I bought this bag just to add a black purse to my collection. I have yet to use it. It has tons a room and is a great size. One downside to the black is there is a card in the front saying the black would rub off until broken in. If I knew this ahead of time, I would have not bought the black. What I did was take a dry paper towel and rubbed all the corners and side down several times with some pressure. There wasn’t tons of black dye, but there was enough. I kept wiping until almost no dye transfer left. This will prevent the dye rubbing onto your clothes. It wasn’t a big deal to do, however, it would have been nice to see some disclaimer on the black option. Also, I’m not sure why, the metal on the strap sometimes has a very mild squeak when walking. I first noticed it on my first purchase of the bucket bag, I accidentally bought an almost perfect one so I thought that is why it had a mild squeak. I have since bought the Lola and medium crossbody ( not almost perfect) and the hardware attach to purse from strap does it as well. Again, not a huge deal, but kind of annoying especially when you are paying a good amount. Overall these purses are top quality leather that look fabulous in person. Tip advice- also look at review photos to get more of an accurate color on purse you’re buying. Stock photos look slightly different in color then actual color. I feel stock photos do the purse no justice. Purses in person have a richer color and look higher end the stock photos. I have 5 purses and several accessories and will continue to add to my collection!
At first I was a little disappointed by this bag: it had a weird odor and it was more floppy than I like in my bags. I couldn’t find a description of this leather (fog- it’s a light blue pebbled leather, floppy). I was going to return it but the shape was perfect as well as the size. After a few days the scent was more tolerable. I altered the crossbody strap so I can carry it as a shoulder bag. I love it not too big or too small a great everyday carry. This style should be in a mystery box;)
