Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

I ordered the almost perfect round crossbody bag in the larger size. Well, I’m confused because it’s PERFECT! I can’t see a flaw or scratch on it! The size is perfect for my larger wallet and my sunglasses case and my phone with room to spare. I would highly recommend and I’ll be ordering again! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!! 😍

Love! Could be a little bigger

This is my second purse from PLG. I really enjoy the material of this one (I got it in Nutmeg)! It’s so buttery smooth. The other purse I got (the Lola crossbody) wasn’t available in nutmeg, so I went with the plum and it does not glide on my clothing at all. The lack of glide actually made me not like that purse very much, in addition to it’s lack of pockets (I love pockets in a purse). I love the color of my circle crossbody purse and how it glides over my clothing. The only complaint I have for this purse is the size. I did buy it in the largest size they have. I would love if they offered this beauty in a large size; one or two more inches. I had to switch to a different wallet because my trusted wallet of over 10 years doesn’t comfortably fit in this purse (the purse zipper would get caught on my wallet, which would slowly destroy it over time). I’ve gotten used to it overall; the size of the purse and how to take things in and out as quickly and be the least flustered that I can be at places like a cash register.

The "Almost Perfect Circle Crossbody" really could drop the "almost" in it's title, because this bag is perfect! I got the large, and it's the perfect size, the perfect weight, has perfect placement of pockets... it's simply perfection! I love that it's a circle, so you'll stand out style-wise as well. I was able to fit my large wallet inside plus my phone and so much more (I like to be prepared for anything). I am loving my bag, and am sure it will get plenty of usage!

Nutmeg Large Circle - Love It!

I already have a Nutmeg Medium Crossbody Tote that I love. I've been wanting a Circle but couldn't decide between Pebbled Black or Nutmeg. I went with Nutmeg because I've really been wanting a braided strap too! I Love It! It may be AP but I can't see anything wrong with it. I did modify the crossbody strap and added snaps so I could switch between the braided and the crossbody.

This bag immediately caught my eye with it’s graphic flower appliqué. I was able to get it “slightly imperfect,” which is always okay with me since I’ve never gotten a “slightly imperfect” bag that seems anything but perfect in my eyes. Mine is large, which makes it a great everyday bag; it’s surprisingly roomy! I ordered it with a new Portland wallet, the Quesadilla in Clownfish (props to whoever is naming these colors). The round corners of the Quesadilla make it a perfect fit in this Circle bag. I love it!

I think I would prefer the larger circle, the beluga is a nice color and soft touch. The circle itself fits a small bi-fold wallet and the error wallet. I'm sure my phone would fit in the outside pocket and my keys would also fit inside

I bought myself one of these beautiful round purses for my birthday, and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. But I didn’t realize just how well‑made it truly was until recently.
I tripped over some camera cables in my car and fell straight out of the door onto the asphalt. Because I was wearing the purse cross‑body, it acted like an airbag and took the impact for me — well, the purse and the angels around me. When I checked it afterward, I was stunned. Not a bit of paint had come off, and everything inside, including my phone, was completely unharmed.
I was so impressed that on a trip to Portland, I bought my daughter the same purse in a smaller size and different color.
Portland Leather, you outdid yourselves. Superb craftsmanship, beautiful design, and durability I never expected to test — but I’m grateful for. Highly recommend.
I have this bag in several colors now, it’s such a fun shape and I get a lot of compliments on it. The large I feel holds its shape better with a stiffer, more structured leather, but the small is perfect in every color so far!
The small round is very cute. It hangs nicely at my waist. Works well as an essentials only, run out the door bag.
This was purchased on a whim and was going to gift it if I didn’t like it. Let’s just say, she is currently happy in my purse collection and I am NOT parting with it. LOVE the pattern and the shape is so unique but roomy.
This is my third circle crossbody. I love these bags, but I'm especially taken with the larkspur color. It was classified as "almost perfect," but I couldn't find any flaws on this one.
