It’s the lowest price on all of our best selling leather goods! Our artisans have very high standards. Sometimes we come across hides with more natural character marks. Other times we notice a small imperfection on a finished product such as a slight color variation or a messy stitch or two.

The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

This is the cold brew backpack. The leather is soft and beautiful. I bought for a gift, but I wish I could keep it. It did have a strong chemical smell in the beginning, but I let it sit out for several days and now It's leather goodness! I hope my friend loves it
I love the laptop backpack! The Cognac color is so rich and regal. I can fit my Surface Studio laptop plus two PLG nutmeg makeup bags for accessories, with room to spare.
I absolutely love my laptop bag! I have had several over the past few years. I switched from a coach messenger bag to this one and I absolutely love it!! The smell is fantastic and it holds my MacBook Pro, Microsoft pro tablet, notory journal and stamp and I added a planner to it. Not to heavy. Feel great
When I got a new job I decided it was time to "up my game" with my work bag. I had tried a tote before but found that I just crammed too many things into it so that it was too heavy and a strain on my shoulder. I wanted a good, nice-looking laptop bag. I tried multiple bags that said they would fit my computer, only to receive the bag and find that it was too small and that the dimensions were incorrect. I was thrilled to see Portland Leather's dimensions were actually correct and my computer fit! And the bag left enough room for important papers so I could bring home what was needed but it also forces me to go through my papers regularly and dump what's not needed.
In addition, I've gotten a TON of compliments on my bag! That has never happened with previous versions. This was my first PL purchase and an AP product. The leather is absolutely beautiful and holding up well. The small marks from wear are blending in nicely. This is absolutely what I needed and I am happy someone is finally honest and/or takes the time to state the actual size.
