The August Tote is fantastic! Large enough for my laptop, notebook book, reading material, water bottle, and everything else I lug around for work. Simple lines make the August a very visually appealing everyday bag. There are not outer pockets, so it is a very clean look. Green Apple is a beautiful smooth leather that is so pretty in person!

I am so glad I went with the large. It’s beautiful and fits everything! I’m a hairdresser and I throw in my shoes, lunch, water bottle and more.its so much better than having multiple canvas totes now I just need only this one and I feel cute! The August does not disappoint! I pack a planner, large laptop, pencil pouch and a 40oz water bottle w room to spare. My Koala will fit too! The straps are comfy and a good length. I also really like the pebbled coldbrew. It looks good and is flexible. This is my new favorite tote!

I had to return the first tote I bought because of a problem with the chemical smell but the second one I ordered is perfection. The baccalar is the perfect green to me. A love letter to the August (and a eulogy for chunky pebbles)

If you are 5’1” and wondering if you should wait for the Large August to restock: don't. Take it from an impatient shopper who pulled the trigger on the Medium. It is perfection. It gives "sleek, minimalist chic" rather than "I am moving out of my house." The clean lines with no front pocket are absolutely stunning. But we need to talk about the Nutmeg elephant in the room. PLG, what happened to my favorite leather? The color is darker, the bag weight is lighter, and it scratches if a gentle breeze hits it. Constantly rubbing out scratches has become my new, un-voted-for workout routine. But worst of all? The texture. I fell in love with the old Nutmeg because of those glorious, unique chunky pebbles. This new version has uniform, consistent pebbles look that feels a little too unnatural for my taste. That being said... I'm completely obsessed with the shape. It’s going straight into my regular bag rotation, and I will absolutely be buying more. Just... let's pour one out for the chunky pebbles of yesteryear.

This beautiful Sienna med Aust was the best gift I could give myself for my birthday in August. The pebbles and striations are amazing.
First of all, I’ve always been a small purse owner but when I was introduced to the Portland Leather products, I was hooked. I was about to get the Montana Tote but at the last second, I chose the Medium August Tote in Nutmeg. It’s the perfect width, depth, and length for a petite lady. It has a rich and delicious feel and because of the way the base is designed, it stays upright instead of flopping over.
I love the August tote. The Night Owl color is a beautiful deep Navy blue. This is a great everyday carry or perfect for a book tote. I love the quality of these bags!
Absolutely wonderful bag! I originally bought the medium but it was too small for my daughter’s laptop so I wound up exchanging for the large and it is perfect! The color is deep and rich, leather is soft and durable, and the overall look of the bag is so simple and beautiful.
