Suede: Our suede leather begins with an intricate process: the hide is split to separate the soft underside from the top layer. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. Naturally slouchy and pliable, suede leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina that tells its own story over time. Most natural imperfections are gently smoothed away during production, while subtle traces—like healed veining and the soft, napped surface—are preserved to celebrate the leather’s unique character and charm.

Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Since fabric-lined bags inevitably discolor and tear with use, we chose to showcase the soft sueded underside of our hides, ensuring that your bag lasts a lifetime.

I purchased classic large coldbrew tote, clutch wallet and eclipse makeup bag both in grizzly. I like them all, they are very well made and good quality, lovely colours. Great size tote, suitable for work or daily wear. I do love the smell of new leather goods but I must admit these items had very strong dye smell, this is the only criticism I have which may put off some customers. Great customer service, thanks to Violet and Joey for their help when I had an enquiry or question. If you are not already part of it you may wish to check out Portland Leather Groupies- PLG Facebook page. An amazing page, very well managed and lots of interaction. You would have a chance to see many "in real life pictures" of PLG products. Finally have an Eclipse bag in my favorite color!

I got hooked on Portland Leather 3 years ago with my first mystery box and have purchased many bags since then. My second mystery box came with 4 littles, and one of those happened to be an Eclipse bag, which was love at first sight. I now have a rainbow's assortment and then some of these bags, which I have color coded in my various bags.

They're great for carrying all sorts of things, and you can easily swap them from bag to bag. Some ideas for them:
I have an orange one that holds my medications
A burgundy one that carries all my wires and cords for my tech gear and a green one that carries my hair and makeup accessories. They nestle nicely against each other and I tend to use ones in the pebbled leathers that are squishy. (but I have them in brushed and smooth colors, too)

Now I have a Molino blue one, which I've been waiting to get for a while now. I think it's going to be the new home for my extra batteries, SD cards, and charger for my DLSR camera. This way, I can quickly tuck it into the camera backpack I own or into my purse when I don't want to carry all the camera gear.
