The bag is the perfect size for all my littles (large seashell, Sidekick, and Bifold wallet). I hang an Itsy Bitsy on the outside for bling. The color Sunshine is perfectly pebbled and not too bright.
My contents sit deep even with the bag fully unzipped

I was thinking the double zip would potentially allow my daily carry contents to tumble out, but they sit so deep in the bag, they’re secure! I carried Rue as a crossbody at a local Scan Fair this weekend and it was nice to have the extra space to carry my purchases. My next step is to flip the Sam Browne strap ends to the top of the backpack then add an additional hole in the straps, so I can adjust it to ride higher on my back.

Ultraviolet Rue!

I’ve never owned a backpack before, but loved the shape and size of this one. And they came in metallics! The Ultraviolet is soooo gorgeous! In my opinion, it’s the best color PLG has put out this year 💜 I will get a wider, matching strap and wear as a shoulder carry. Just love it!

Ultra Violet Rue Convertible Backpack

I love my beautiful Ultra Violet Rue Convertible Backpack! The metallic plum color is elegant, tasteful, uplifting, and peaceful. I also like the sleek and graceful shape of Rue, the smart design, high functionality, and versatility. Despite its sleek form, rather compact appearance, and rounded corners, Rue is surprisingly roomy. Main compartment contents are easily viewable and accessible without rummaging around blindly or having to unpack the whole bag. My photos show one example of how much I could fit in Rue’s main compartment: 2 Large PLG Wrap Journals; 1 Medium PLG Wrap Journal; 1 Small PLG Wrap Journal; 1 Large PLG Bifold Wallet; 1 fully-packed PLG Utility Bag; 2 PLG Howler Pouches; 1 pair of alpaca knit gloves or winter scarf; 1 foldable winter hat. And the secure, hidden outer zippered pocket in back is an awesome addition. In that pocket I can fit my alpaca knit gloves and iPhone 15 Pro Max with Otter Symmetry case. Or I can fit my phone plus two Euro Wallets. So far I’ve worn Rue as a Backpack all day on multiple days. I am petite (5’) and medium build (clothing size PS), so straps are always long for me, which is fine and easily resolved. Unlike the Boston Backpack, Rue Convertible Backpack straps are fully adjustable for a variety of body types and personal preferences. (In future I may use an awl to add another strap hole or two). I’ve also spent a day wearing Rue as a Sling Bag by removing one strap and reclasping the other strap diagonally from one side at the top to the opposite side at the low end of the bag. I alternated placement of the bag itself from front to side to back. I love having multiple options in a single Rue! Rue Convertible Backpack is a welcome addition to my other backpacks and sling bags, which I also love—Laptop Backpack, Classic Tote Backpack, Bucket Backpack, Snap Mini Backpack, Sydney Sling Bag, Scarlett Sling Bag, and Koala Sling Bag. I use the different styles regularly according to my need. Each has its special qualities. (And yes, I have been known to happily wear a PLG Backpack and Sling Bag at the same time 😁🥰). Thank you.
