I really love this bag style and decided to be adventurous ordering it in a large pebbled bone. While I really love it I do prefer darker colors so will exchange for a coldbrew. I want a bag I’m not afraid to use. Anyways, I influenced my daughter with my large sloan purchase that she got her own in a smooth black. She loves it so much, it looks sophisticated! Her first black bag too! Added photo of the coldbrew large Sloan, she’s a keeper!!!

I’ve been looking for the perfect daily cross body bag! This large sloan in Grizzly is perfect! Just large enough to hold things I need daily but not too large that I over fill it and make it too heavy.
When you let the store tell you what you need

The Sloan was kind of on my radar, but when I made a trip to Woodburn I had a triangle or a calla lily firefly in mind. There was one triangle in a color I didn't like and I didn't love the calla lily firefly in person. Then I was drawn to this beauty. I love the size, I love the removable crossbody and top handles. I try not to duplicate colors too often and I have a mini cb in nutmeg, but the cream zipper on this is just a showstopper to me. Large is the perfect size for a small/medium bag lover like myself.

The Sloan bag is adorable. The small and the large both hold more then you think. This is the small. A bifold, small Luna pouch, small sidekick and a squeeze eye glass case. And yes she zipped up, no problem 😉
Sloan doctor in large (Aquarius)

Large is a great option if you like to carry extra essentials it fits more then just the average basic necessities. The small canvas organizer fits perfect with extra room on the sides just to give an idea on how much you can fit. I love blue so Aquarius was an easy pick for me.

I truly love this bag. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be the right size reviews say it’s really small but ended up being perfect. Whether you throw in a few things for a quick trip or transition your small organizer from another bag to this it has plenty of room. I’ll definitely be getting it in more colors. Chestnut was a must! (5’1” size S/M)
Oversized is perfect sized

Surprisingly one of my favorites

There were a lot of set expectations about a "doctor bag" before this came out, and I and it I was one who was a bit skeptical about this, but decided to go for it. I knew the large will be more apt for my daily needs - and boy, it didn't disappoint! It is definitely roomier than it seems! It's about the same capacity as a mini CB, just different shape, so it looks more compact. Also love the wide opening so I can easily access my stuff. I love the Chestnut so much I got a Cobalt to have a pebbled version.

When I received the OS Sloan in Grizzly it's the most stunning color I have ever seen. I have found purse peace with Grizzly and highly recommend getting an OS Sloan in Grizzly!
Tiny bag big treasure

This bag is compact but you are able to put quite a lot into it. I love being able to hold on to it with the two handle straps or if I want to sling it across my body and be hands free. The leather is true quality. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is the zipper. I wish the zipper was a YKK zipper or one that was better quality. The zipper is constantly getting caught on itself.

Large Cobalt Sloan

I ordered my first Sloan in Large Cobalt. This bag fits an amazing amount of items and is a beautiful pebbled blue. The handles after just a couple uses have softened and fold down over each other naturally now when not in use, so pretty!! Here she is on arrival next to my gorgeous Aruba Butterfly and Crunchwrap and another in direct sun out for her first adventure 💙

I have not had a chance to use this bag yet; however, I wore it in the store to check the size and determine that it will carry the things I need to carry without it being too small. It’s so very pretty and I look forward to when I can use it, especially in this beautiful cobalt color.
I purchased a small Orchid Sloan and it’s perfect for quick trips to the store. Holds everything I need and I can use it as a crossbody to keep my hands free!
The Oversized Sloan in Honey is absolutely gorgeous. I love the structured doctor-bag style, the beautiful warm Honey leather and the roomy size that holds all the things. It also has a great hand carry and is a wonderful combination of one of my favorite colors and silhouettes.
I'm writing this review quickly because there's still some stock for the Velvet Brown small Sloan. If this bag has been on your radar--give it a good look before it is gone. Velvet Brown is gorgeous. It's dark chocolate with a lush velvet finish. It is quite firm. I compared it to Sepia and the leather is different--much more structured and a little darker.
As far as the Sloan, it is a hate to love story for me. I didn't like the bag when it came out. A second Doctor bag, Grace, was introduced and based on photos, I decided I liked Grace better. On a lark, I decided to get a small Sloan in a C-sale. It was so darned cute, I warmed enough to Sloan to buy two in the Limited Edition leathers Carnival and Sepia.
The small Sloan offers undeniable advantages over small Grace. It is a little bigger, the straps make for easier elbow carry, and the design provides more give making it easier to pack and find stuff fast. As an older woman who is happiest when she's off on some travel adventure, weight of the bag matters a lot to me. Sloan is a lightweight design for the volume. The thin straps are much lighter in weight than thick handles.
Some final words on small Sloan: when I'm traveling or sightseeing, I often want a small bag for the essentials. The small Koala is one of my favorites. Small Sloan is a little more professional, polished, and fancy-event oriented.
