Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

The Iris flower is a symbol of- Faith, hope, wisdom and courage. My new Iris Montana is a symbol of my- Joy, Triumph, Bliss and Rejuvenation! I tried to capture the excitement in pictures. 🤣💕 The leather is soft, amazing pebbles, and phenomenal rich color. I am also very pleased with the amount of items I can fit in this bag yet I can carry very little as well - feels great either way! Have a great day on PURPOSE! ☀️

This is a beautiful bag! I love the coldbrew leather - soft and pliable but still sturdy. This is a great size. Holds almost everything my N/S Lola holds. No outside pocket gives clean lines, and size I use this as a work bag I don't miss it. I love the key loop on the outside for bag flair / keys. Handles are a great length and width. They're perfect for a shoulder carry.

This Koi tote is a mass of marshmallow goodness in my favorite shade. I can find no flaws that caused it to be almost perfect! For me, she is a perfect carry.
Forest Montana tote

I purchased this bag because I really wanted a bag in forest, and I thought it would be a good substitute for the full size crossbody tote which I love. The leather is beautiful- nice and thick with a good amount of body without being too stiff. The style is cute- with the band and the flair hardware. The size is very close to the size of a FSCB, and the straps are a good length and comfortable. It’s a beautiful bag, but I really miss the outside pocket and the hardware for a crossbody ( I clip my keys to the hardware) that the FSCB tote has.

I love the size and style of the Market Tote. The handles are soft and stay on my shoulders. I use my large organizer and a small eclipse inside. The Pebbled Black is such a classic and I'm sure will only get softer and better with time.

I am a person who likes either a zip or magnet closure on my bags, so to try this one was a step outside of my comfort zone. I found that with all my small leather goods containing things, and using the PLG organizer, everything is easy to carry and secure. This tote is not heavy. I am going to get more!

Beautiful leather bag, genuine leather folks! Not the PU nastiness! This bag can carry my glasses, ear buds, phone, tablet, and a 32 oz Swig cup for water! The leather is soft and pliant, and I love the Nutmeg color. Awesome job Portland Leather Co!
This is such a pretty bag! Her personality can change, depending on what leather and color you choose. Rugged and casual, or sleek and modern, or fun and flexible. The little ring on the outside is very cool. A lovely decorative touch on its own, and a very handy place to clip any sort of accessory you want. A side note worth mentioning is the fact that I personally don’t mind, and sometimes prefer, open bags. This one is such that it’s deep and settles high under the arm, so it’s very safe. If I want, I add a small scarf to just cover everything.
