Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

My first fancy work bag

My mom bought the large Verona tote in orchid and I was supeised to loved the bold color (which usually intimidate me and my neutral wardrobe), and how well it accented even casual/athleisure outfits.... so I tried a few on during the Seattle Grand opening and decided to buy my own orchid Verona tote (AP). I now use it as my daily work bag. It fits my thick Dell laptop, headset, wallet, utility pouch and mouse. I have a new favorite color and tote style :)
Did not love, unfortunately

The bag came kinda warped, unfortunately. Customer service was contacted and according to them, that is just the way the bag is for "Almost Perfect". I have tried stuffing the bag and placing it in the hot shade outside, leaving bags of beans in it to relax the leather a bit, unfortunately the dent is still present on the bottom right corner as pictured. There were also 2 scratches to the front of the bag as pictured.

I love the east/west bag and only 5’1” height, the large fits well! I got the medium first but found it too small so returned for the large. It’s perfect! Size ✔️ Color (Night Owl) ✔️ Style ✔️✔️

The color of this bag is gorgeous. I was afraid it would be too big but I prefer it over the medium. I often carry a book or tablet with me and those wouldn't fit in the medium with my regular littles. The large fits everything comfortably plus room for a scarf or sweater on top! Plus the large interior pocket makes grabbing my phone quick and easy. It's a great bag!

I got three large Veronas and kept one. AP Nutmeg is gorgeous but it seemed a bit too puddly for this design, Night Owl is sophisticated and just the right amount of slouch. But the winner for me is Mango because it really showcases the sleek lines of the design.
My Favorite Tote!

I was so bummed when the Market Tote retired, but once I saw the Verona for the first time, I knew it was love. I now have 2 colors & another on the way! For me, the large size is perfection. It's roomy & more oversized & perfect for my needs when I need a larger carry. (I don't like cramming things in my purse with little room after that.) The key loop & interior pocket are all I need for some organization. I usually throw in a few littles & still have room for a sweater or scarf. (I'm a mom of 3, so I usually carry things for them as well.) The snap magnet is strong too! This tote doesn't need a zipper in my opinion! I can see myself collecting this style in many colors! PLG nailed it once again!

I love this design so much I purchased my second one. They are both deceivingly spacious. Never thought totes can look elegant until I got these. Eventually, I will pick up in another color. Portland Leather Goods offer great and beautiful products.

Honestly, PLG got me on St Patrick's Day with the green sale (and I had some points!), and I'm so glad I got this Large Verona bag in Sea Glass! I intended to use it for air travel as my "personal item", but it has become my daily adult carryall. The "almost perfect" aspect was the way the bag corners were sewn on one side--not symmetrical, but definitely secure and sturdy. I have no doubts the bag will be a favorite for years to come. Here is Sea Glass pictured with Bacalar (Koala sling) and Metallic Greench (fortune zip keychain) for color comparison.
I needed a bag to carry at a conference that was bigger than my everyday carry - the large Verona was perfect for my needs. The Sea Glass color is lovely!
The medium Verona in Pebbled Bone just looks so classy to me. I got the pebbled bone/reef Betta fish to go with it and that little pop of color just makes me so happy! This lovely neutral can be dressed up or down depending on if you're going out to dinner or off to the beach.
The medium Verona makes a great daily work bag for me. It holds a water bottle and travel mug perfectly with my daily essentials in between. I love how structured it is in honey! However, if you are looking to carry a laptop or lunch as well, I think the large would be the way to go.
I love the large size as a work tote! It easily holds my iPad, journal, tech charges, water bottle, and daily essentials. The Asheville color is STUNNING - the perfect neutral brown.
